gabe2013Master Gabriel Jordan Ronald Moses was born on May 17th, 1999. From the age of 3, Gabe has excelled tremendously in music and performing arts. Among his many attributes, Gabe has been writing songs and plays for over 6 years. Gabe’s talent has caused him to receive generous accolades. In 2008 and 2009, he won the Irvington Idol for his performance of his original gospel rap called “Wake Up”. His talent also landed him the opportunity to perform in North Carolina with gospel recording artist Luther Barnes. From 2009 to 2012, Gabe was enrolled in the Newark Symphony Hall Summer Performing Arts Academy. He has also earned himself a spot in the youth vocal group, Special Ensemble which is a group of 12 students that minister through song and dance all over the tri-state area. They are winners of the 2011 McDonalds Gospelfest. Gabe was chosen from his group as an “Urban Achiever”, giving him and opportunity to shine on this magazine. In 2012, he was chosen to be one of the honorees for the “Distinguished Gentlemen Award”, from Promises Delivered Inc. Gabe also received a resolution from the City of Newark for his untiring efforts as a singer in the Special Ensemble. In December of 2012, Gabe participated in the “When Praises Go Up” Gospel Showcase. There he did another outstanding performance of his gospel rap, “Wake Up”. In February 2013, Gabe auditioned for the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In April 2013, he was accepted to be a Theater Major. Today, Gabe says, “I want to be the next Tyler Perry, but the first Gabe Moses”.
