profdavisHugh Davis is an Award-winning Music Director, Vocal Coach, published Choral Music Composer and Arranger (Hal Leonard), Award-winning Educator, National Workshop Clinician, Recording Artist (Universal Records), Music Producer, and former Concert Pianist. Hugh has degrees from Jackson State University, the Royal Schools of Music, and Trinity College of Music, both in London. He is a Professor in the Music Department at Bergen Community College and Director of Music at Elmwood Presbyterian, where he directed the multi-award winning and nationally acclaimed youth choir, “G-fy-G.” Hugh is the founder and CEO of “Center Stage Entertainment,” an artist development company that focuses on “Equipping and Empowering” young people who feel a call to pursue careers in theater and the performing arts. He founded the Special Ensemble in 2010 when he put together a group of youth who shared an interest in singing from the Newark Symphony Hall Summer Performing Arts Academy, in which he was the Vocal Music Instructor. Hugh, moved to Texas in 2012 and is currently the Youth Music Director at Friendship-West Baptist Church.
