Chanel was born on June 11, 1997. From the moment she was born, her family immediately knew she was destined for great works. This was partly due to the fact she arrived two (2) months earlier than expected and baffled the doctors with her smooth progression and healthy stats…Thank God!
Chanel has a passion all forms of performing arts and began studying dance with the Marie Wildey School of Dance at the age of 4. She has previously studied vocal training and music theory with the Ivy Hill Music Studio. She is currently continuing her studies of the performing arts with MAPA (Multicultural Arts Performing Academy). To date, she has performed in numerous productions including “Bugsy Malone” and seasonal concerts/musicals. Her greatest accomplishments are: appearing on “Good Day New York” and placing 1st in the children’s category (2011) as well as becoming a finalist (2013) at the McDonald’s Gospel Fest with the Newark Symphony Hall Special Ensemble. She has also placed 1st in the 2012 Talent Hunt hosted by the Plainfield Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Currently Chanel is an active member of Agape Family Worship Center in Rahway, NJ. At Agape, she has studied liturgical dance and ministered with the Kingdom Kids Dance Ministry and Agents of Change Youth Gospel Choir.
Entering her junior year of high school where she is an active member of the Reading Buddy Program, Shot Put/Javelin Team and Advanced Chamber Chorus. Chanel plans to study Forensic Science and aspires to become a Medical Examiner. Chanel continues to be a blessing to her family and friends in her ability to bring a smile to everyone she encounters. Be prepared to hear greater news from her in the future!
